RAMBLIN' RAG #10
Date: 2.13.02
Wool Street Journal info, new patterns, Australian Dolls Bears and Collectables Magazine interview, new WoolFelt color
Some exciting news for you wooley folks. There is a new primitive, wool magazine coming out in April called THE WOOL STREET JOURNAL. That name is the greatest! I think that it favors rug hooking but also encompasses wool quilts, pennyrugs, ornaments and a plentitude of wool oriented information. For more information and to sign up for the premier issue, here is the website and phone number:
www.WoolStreetJournal.com
Phone 1.888-RUG-LOOP.
Be sure and take a peek at the new patterns on our web site. One is a wool pincushion that can be made up lickety split. A kit is availbable also - Rabbit and Bird Pincushions. New stitchery design also, Love Is Sweet. Another applique and stitchery pattern, Miss Lovely is coming soon and also Bunny Hop which is wool applique pillows plus.
The upcoming classes that i am teaching in Walnut Creek California at Thimblecreek Quilts are on April 5th and 6th
Friday, April 5 - 10:00 to 4:30. This will be a wool or WoolFelt pennyrug, probably flower oriented.
Saturday, April 6 - 10:00 to 4:30. Also a new pattern, Bunny Hop (which i have just revised from the original that I just finished last month!!??) You will have a choice of doing either a small round applique wool pillow and a vintage pincushion, or a larger applique pennyrug pillow.
Soon the models will be on view at Thimblecreek but sign up for the fun now. For more information, you can call:

New WoolFelt color will soon be added. Purple Sage. A bit darker than Periwinkle and very mottled looking. Great color.
I have a toothache.....i HATE toothaches!
Well.....I goofed on the name of the magazine that contacted me for an interview and I am without a good excuse. It is not Soft Dolls and Animals but AUSTRALIAN DOLLS BEARS AND COLLECTABLES and It is quite beautifully done. Not sure which issue the interview will be in but I believe the Hocus Pocus witch pattern will also be included. For more information about the Australian Magazine:

Have you heard the new Paul McCartney album? Around here we think it's one of his best. Then there is the used CD I found for my husband at Christmas...El Rayo X by David Lindley. I had no idea i myself would like it so much...the greatest for afternoon livingroom dance exercise. I asked for "Romanza" by Boccelli but I didn't receive it....guess I'll be a better girl next year.
Be sure and take a look at our new web site page "Frenz of Reets' Can Do". You'll see the link on the Home page. Some pics of dolls made by you all from various Reets' patterns. Fun viewing.
I'm sorry that i forgot to take my camera with me to Folsom. What a nice place and such fine folks too. Well that will have to be all for now...must finish and start some projects. I wish you all a wonderful spring full of the most creative thoughts possible....and drench yourself in some flowers...either real or fabric.
HAPPY HAPPY SPRING!
One Heart,
Reets
