Hi there,
Been a long time.... I tried to do a little rebalancing of the home/kids life and the biz life. It is not as balanced as I would like it to be but the attention did help some.
I'll just start quickly with a list of our remaining shows.

  • Azalea Festival. Brookings Oregon
Quilt Festival is Sat. and Sun., May 28 & 29, Memorial Day Weekend.
Tons of FUN at the beach! Not only is there a quilt show (in a brand new building), but also a Craft Fair, Fiber Fair, Parade, Street Fair and more. Friend Carin Engen can be found at the Fiber Fair with some of her incredible felted creations for sale, as well as some felting and spinning supplies. Most of these fairs are in facilities walking distance from each other. If you can't get lodging in Brookings, try near by Crescent City or Gold Beach.
    Quilts, Demos, Fun!
  • Eureka Quilt Show (ah yes, just an hour from home.) - Redwood Acre Fairgrounds
    Sat. and Sun, July 23, 24; 10:00 - 5:00 (ends at 4:00 on Sunday)
I'll be sharing a booth with Ocean Wave Quilts. Quilts, Challenge, really fun Auction.
  • Marin Quilt & Needlearts Show - Marin Civic Center, San Rafael
    Labor Day Weekend - Fri. Sept. 2 thru 4 - Fri.10:00 to 8:00; Sat. 10:00 - 5:00; Sun. 10:00 - 4:00
Terrific show. Demos, Lectures, Drawings, Door Prizes, Vendors, and of course Quilts

  • Northwest Quilting Expo & Creative Arts Festival - Portland Oregon Expo Center
Thursday, Friday, Saturday - September 22, 23, 24. (Show ends Saturday rather than Sunday)
One of the largest shows in the northwest. Great time of year. First time for us at this show but we have heard many great things are in store. Many vendors, wonderful quilts, preview tables etc.
  • Pacific Int'l Quilt Festival - Santa Clara Convention Center
    Thursday thru Sunday - October 13-16; 10:00 - 6:00 (ends at 5:00 on Sunday)
This is a very large show with well over 100 vendors, classes, wonderful quilts, wearables and other incredible displays of fiber arts. The show has always been abuzz from start to finish. Classes are a highlight.

Just returned from Kansas City Quilt Market where wool is still very present. Needle Felting and Punch Needle have definitely caught on also. Below is a small pic of our newest needle felting pattern, Needle Felted Trio..

Of course the designs could also be simply appliqued instead but you would be missing out on the fun of needle felting. It is not difficult and I have to add that the instructions are quite complete. There is even a handy kit for the stuffed heart version. Have you seen Kindred Spirits needle felted and appliqued pattern, "Sewing Crow"? Well known for their endearing primitive folkart style, they have created a wonderful woolen purse using our vintage-style wooden handles. Visit their website:
    KindredSpiritsDesigns.com.
Speaking of handles, our first shipment of our new small rounded wooden purse handles should be arriving this week and patterns using them will shortly follow.
Our punch needle patterns are being printed up on cloth and will soon be available along with all of the supplies. If you can make it to one of our shows, the punch needle and needle felting will both be subjects of demos.

At Market our best selling pattern was Snowman Dance, which you have probably already seen. Two other best sellers were Sue's Pincushions, and Elephants. The pincushions were designed by my friend Sue Pfau. They are all on the Pattern Page and true to our service, most of the new designs offers a kit as well.

Visit our "Frenz of Reets" Gallery where you'll find another great project from Lynn Stansfield and also our most recent entry submitted by Eileen Mikolayunas. Her color choices and creativity in stitching up a wall hanging version of our pattern "I Love To Stitch" are very impressive.
Her web site with many finished items for sale may impress you as well.

    Thanks to Eileen of SenecaPondCrafts.com
Please continue to send in your gallery pictures and as always, any contributions to the newsletter are always welcomed.

Ready for another Reets Not-For-Everyone Music Pic?
I'm CLEANING OUT....again. So amidst that I'm trying to listen to all my old CD's.
    Toss...Keep...you know.
Right this moment I'm listening to
    "Iris DeMent", Infamous Angel.
Keepin this one. Even tho it's way out of the box from what I normally listen to. I'm not a strong country fan, I don't favor blue grass at all. Iris is soulful country folk bluegrass...??? She's full of heart mostly. My favorite song, Our Town. She has me sitting in a Kansas cornfield watching the sunset...she has me loving it there....wanting to MOVE there for goodness sake. Anyway, great musicians and I just can't believe her twangy voice is so rich and soulful. She even sings a song with her Mama....so sweet.

So time to go now. But first...

My friends have a daily calendar.
Each day...there is a simple quote.
Sharing with you, a couple of my favorites.

"Trust in Alluah.....but tie your camel."

    and....

"Don't let yesterday use up today."

Til next time, Wishing you All That Is Good.
    Be kind. Be forgiving....me too.
