RAMBLIN' RAG #3
Date: July 2000

This year is zipping along a bit too quickly for me. How about you?

Our trip to Minneapolis Quilt Market was wonderful. It's great when things go well. My friend Pam and I were lucky enough to stay with my cousin and his wife who live in Minn. and are very definitely the hostesses with the mostest. Market was a busy one so check out your nearest quilt shop...if you didn't see Reets' patterns there before, you might now. Oh and if you go to Minneapolis - it's a fabulous city - make sure to go to Bucas. It's a unique Italian restaurant with a superb menu. Quite a few of us sat about a huge round table and shared meals family style......oh and of course a bit of wine as well.

Upcoming events for Reets:

Margie has an obsession. She sent me pictures of them with her last pattern order. She makes fairies and ragdolls. She has quite an array and you can see them and purchase them on her website. Just search Margie's Obsessions.....have fun!

Right now and not a minute later I should thank all of you that have been so patient waiting for the "Stitch a Garden" book. It is still in progress.....along with about 30 other things....so don't you dare give up on me. I have added some rug hooking designs to it. It's addicting to say the least...you'll see. Soon I should have a few very simple kits for you at an economical price...just to get you "hooked". Will hopefully be carrying some of the hooks as well in case you cannot find them anywhere nearby. Now back to the book......all I can say is ...."it better be worth the wait" - right? (and just wait til you see the garden crickets...so far my favorite...well, except for one a the stitcheries.)

How about if i keep this news short...would be nice to get it to you before 2001. Keep stitching away and watch for Reets site to become more and more active with some exciting things coming your way. We have recently moved our site to a new host and are very happy with the results. Soon we'll be providing you with a shopping cart. (much sooner than the Garden Book ok?) With the shopping cart and secure ordering on line...you can just throw your money right at us....we'll love it and so will you. Of course you will still be able to order using any of the previously available methods so not to worry. Can hardly believe i've already got to think about the upcoming fall shows...where does the time go.

Does your email program provide spell check? Does it light up in bright red letters? Does it UNDERLINE things that are grammarically incorrect? Well my new email program has this wonderful service....actually it wasn't wonderful until i figured out what it was and turned it OFF! The nerve!

I'm leaving for now. Please keep stitching, singing, dancing, rejoicing, marveling at nature, challenging yourself, loving yourself, enjoying yourself...and others too. I'll sign off with the picture below, taken at last year's local very wonderful Humboldt Artisans Craft and Music Festival. These are my friends Pam and Tom. A very crafty couple. Pam's dolls and critters create a long line waiting to get into the booth. Tom is an incredible wood craftsman. I believe this year he is coming out with a line of beautiful decorative sleds. (the Festival by the way is in Eureka, California the first week end in December.
