RAMBLIN' RAG #6
Date: 3.28.01

New Tulip Annabelle pattern described; two more CD recommendations; Easter brunch suggestion

Spring has Sprung! Summer is in a few days . . . and next week. . . .

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!. . . . I think!!??

Well that seems to be the pace of things doesn't it?

I never know what time of year it is. i just finished some new halloween designs and now must start on Christmas. However I'm sorely behind on some of the pennyrugs of the month and really must start on April since it is just a few days away. And i have to finalize one more design that will be in the first booklet that is mostly star and patriotic goodies. Unlike the yet unfinished "Stitch a Garden" book, this book will have begun and have been completed in the same year. More about that book in the next newsletter.

Is it getting difficult for you to stay inside? Are you picking daffodils? Are you putting on your pedal pushers by noon now? (aren't you glad they came back in style?) Are some days begging you to come dig in the garden? Well if your weather is just not allowing these pleasures yet, go check out Annabelle the new gardening raggedy with the tulips. She'll "spring" ya. I love the way she has moveable arms and legs and can sit or stand right up almost on her own. You'll find her on the first pattern page under the "Patterns" link in the nav bar.

I'm waiting on a picture of our friend Don's rendition of Amarina. He painted her some sort of brown and my! . . . is she different than the pattern....just what i love to see and it just goes to show you. . . . there are more than many ways to make up a pattern. As soon as his wife gives me the picture you will find it at the bottom of this newsletter.

Since music is soooooo important to our stitching abilities, i must tell you my new favorite. There's a couple really. Well our local public radio station has a show every other Thursday at 8:00 p.m. It's called the "really old music show". (you can get it on the internet-KMUD) She starts with medieval, then Renaissance, etc. I heard it for the first time a few weeks ago and right away had to go out and find a cd by the Waverly Concort. I've overdone it a bit and the thing is nearly worn out . . . . and it's even a double cd. I've been searching for this kind of music for a long time but just never knew what i was searching for. Makes you feel kind of . . . gothic...or something. . . whatever that is. And the other is Iris Dement. This gal on the other hand has a sultry twang and i have no idea how you would classify her. But anyway, if there is music, there is light. So be it.

OK. That's it. The blab is done. Here are a few things new and coming.

Easter is coming. Why not have a little brunch with some of your neighbors. Make it a potluck. If children are not available, have an egg hunt for the adults. Wishing you a happy happy spring full of stitching pleasures. Til next time. Peace, Reets
